How it works

From application to your first bag.

Membership is by application only, and there is a waitlist. Here is what happens after you apply, and what it costs.

Joining

Six steps, most of them ours.

01 · Apply

A few questions about how you brew and what you like in a coffee. We roast whole bean and ship in the US, so you'll need a grinder and a US address.
02 · The $1 fee

A $1 application fee, not refunded, holds your place in the queue. A member's referral or a creator's code waives it.
03 · Your invitation

We invite a few people each morning, in the order they applied. Your invitation is an email with a link to join, good for 7 days. If it runs out, we send a fresh one.
04 · Join

Membership is $100 for the year. You pay on Stripe and you're a member.
05 · Your first bag, free

Pick any core coffee on the menu and it's on us, roasted for you. Founding members' first bag comes in a membership box with an Above Ground canister and other surprises.
06 · Roast day

We usually roast on Mondays, and only what members ordered. Orders in by the night before make that roast. The next one is Monday, Nov 2.

What it costs

Membership$100 a year: Your first bag is included.
Core coffees$30 a bag: Most coffees are $30, but we also offer special coffees based on member demand from time to time. Shipping is included.
A planPay per coffee: A bag every one to five weeks, picked by your roaster. Swap or skip any bag until the night before roast day.
Bespoke ModeCost varies by blend: Build your own 12 oz bag from one or two coffees and ask for a custom roast profile to match your preference. See it.
