# Above Ground Coffee

> A members-only coffee roastery in Brooklyn, New York. Every bag is 12 oz of whole bean coffee, roasted after it's ordered. Membership is by application only, and there is a waitlist. Memberships start at $100 a year; members pay for each bag they order, with shipping included. One coffee a week is open to everyone as the guest bag.

Applicants with a US address and their own grinder pay a $1 non-refundable application fee, waived with a member's referral link or a discount code. There is a waitlist: when a seat opens, we email an invitation with a link to the membership checkout, $100 for the year ($50 for the first year with a referral). Some applicants are invited on the spot.

- Order a coffee: open the coffee's link in the menu above, signed in as the member. The page shows the coffee, its price and the shipping address on file, which can be edited there, and an optional brew method. Continue to Payment opens Stripe Checkout. A member's first bag is free and ships in a welcome package: while it is unclaimed, a standard coffee's link claims it instead (pick a tee size, then Confirm).
